The Birmingham Calligraphy Guild was formed in 1987 under the leadership of Travis Jones, past IAMPETH president and long time teacher of calligraphy in the Birmingham area. Several of our members are priviledged to have studied with this exceptional calligrapher. The Birmingham Calligraphy Guild is a non-profit organization that seeks to maintain the initial standard of excellence in teaching and calligraphy that Mr. Jones inspired.
Meetings, workshops, and study days comprise the guild year that runs from September - May.
The guild's schedule is published in "Events". "Links" provides information to go to member's websites and websites of interest to calligraphers. "Resources" has member contact info on teachers, wedding calligraphers and freelance calligraphers.
